REVIEWS: GOD'S CHILD Like A Tree
☆☆☆☆☆ 5 out of 5 stars Holly Tarr ~ This book is awesome. ☆☆☆☆☆ 5 out of 5 stars Nicole A. Fischer ~ This book is great. ☆☆☆☆☆ 5 out of 5 stars Robert Leigh Morgan, Top Contributor; True Crime Books ~ PARENTS TEND TO YOUR CHILDREN’S CHRISTIAN DEVELOPMENT AS IF THEY WERE TREES Verified [Amazon] Purchase While my better half and I don't have any children due to an involved genetic condition, I love the analogy that Robert Lloyd Russell is making here. Once a seed is successfully planted, it starts to grow before it can see the light of day. Then both require constant nurturing, a tree until it's recognized as a sapling, a baby until it becomes a young child able to do things independently. A tree must be watered daily; otherwise, it might not survive. Likewise, young children need to hear their parents' words daily to learn things to thrive and develop properly into the Christians the Lord wants them to be. Young children are equipped to grasp and comprehend many new things through the repetition of things by their parents. Through the pages of his book, the author presents his readers with the step-by-step development of their child infused with Scripture and what they need to do with each one. And by doing this, he is assisting parents in complying with Lord's command found in DEUTERONOMY 6:7 [NKJV]: "You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up." For wanting to assist Christian parents in raising their children in a Christian manner, I've given Mr. Russell 5 STARS for his endeavor here. Reader Response (to an earlier version) Ronald B. Allen, Senior Professor of Bible Exposition, Dallas Theological Seminary ~ The definitive work on Psalm 1. Mr. Russell has a tremendous gift for analogy. The most impressive thing is the way he has built off of existing undeniable Scriptural concepts. I am very impressed with his use of certain Scriptures, such as with regard to trees being deceptive in appearance. ... His work is very interesting, very clear, and intensely practical.
